Good Neighbor Program logo

In a preemptive effort to fight crime in neighborhoods that consist mainly of multi-unit rental housing, the City has developed its Good Neighbor Program, which takes a dual approach to address and curtail the pr oblem of criminal behavior.

Training for Owners / Managers

The City-sponsored classes cover such topics as tenant screening techniques, evicting problem tenants, developing effective rental agreements, and recognizing criminal activity.

Award Winning Program

In 2000, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development gave a Best Practices Award to the program for Innovation.
