      Calling all seniors! The L.A. County Food Bank visits the Elderly Nutrition Program once a month. Take advantage of this free nutrition service for seniors.

      ●2nd Monday of each month
      ●Seniors 60+
      ● Paramount Park Community Center, 14400 Paramount Blvd.
      ● Tickets distributed at 10:30 a.m. day of event; first come, first served basis
      ●Food Bank distribution begins at 1 p.m.
      ●Cost: FREE, but must be a registered member of the ENP program.

      Calling all seniors! The Elderly Nutrition Program offers a continental breakfast once a month. Take advantage of this service for seniors and congregate with nice folks too!

      ●2nd Tuesday of each month, 8:30-9:30 a.m.
      ●Seniors 60+
      ● Must be a registered member of the ENP program. Not a member? No problem, registration is FREE and easy - register and purchase your ticket at the same time!

      ● Pre-registration required 2 weeks prior to event on a first come, first served basis - Space is limited

      The Fishing Club is a free recreation activity for youth. Participants meet at Spane Park for one hour beginning at 3:30 pm on meeting dates and receive instruction from staff on how to fish and to register fishing excursions. For all excursions, the bus will leave at 7:30 am and return at 2:30 pm. Participants must attend the meetings at Spane Park in order to attend the excursions.
      ● Ages 8-15
      ● Free
      ● Meeting dates: September 17, October 15, November 5, and December 10
      ● Excursions:

      • La Mirada Regional Park on September 18
      • Cerritos Regional Park Lake on October 16
      • Seal Beach Pier on November 6
      • Redondo Beach Pier on December 11

      There is a lot to learn and see about safety at home, on the road, and in the community. Meet the Sheriff's and Fire Departments, see some really cool safety vehicles, and visit with McGruff. There's also a lot to learn about educational resources. Talk to college and university and Paramount Unified School District representatives and find out about the best places to learn. We have some great prizes to give away so don't forget to visit the City Booth to enter the raffle!
