Home Improvements

Permit Required

Any new construction or home-remodeling project must be approved by the City prior to its start to ensure that it complies with all building and safety guidelines.

Types of projects requiring City review include all room additions, patio covers, roof replacements, and block walls and wood fences. Once approved and the project is started, City staff also provide periodic inspections to ensure that the project is constructed in accordance to approved plans. This ultimately ensures a safe and successful project. For more information, please call (562) 220-2036.
