QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Any combination of education and/or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for satisfactory job performance. Example combinations include relevant experience and/or training in Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field.
Knowledge and Ability: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions; communicate clearly with the public; speak English and Spanish fluently; periodically lift 10-25 pounds; understand park policies and observe and report compliance with those policies; exercise good judgement, courtesy, and tact with staff and public.
License/Certification Requirements: Valid Class C California Driver License and acceptable driving record.
GENERAL DUTIES: Under supervision of the Community Services and Recreation Department, park supervision staff, using a City-assigned vehicle, is assigned to drive to City parks and other identified facilities to identify and observe compliance with park policies and permits, close and open restrooms, and control lighting and restroom access for youth sport leagues. Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to City and department policies and procedures.
