Gene Daniels has been a member of the Paramount City Council since 1997. He has served as the City's Mayor four times.
Daniels previously spent seven years on the City's Planning Commission. The retired real estate appraiser was president of the Golden State Mobile Home League for nine years. He is a regional council representative for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). He is also the City's representative for the California Contract Cities Association, the League of California Cities, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and Eco Rapid Transit.
In addition, Daniels serves on the Board of Directors, the Transportation Committee, the I-710 Project Committee, the SR-91/I-605/I-405 Corridor Cities Committee, and the Committee on Homelessness of the Gateway Cities Council of Governments, an organization comprising 27 southeast Los Angeles County municipalities aimed at promoting economic growth and undertaking long-range planning in the region.
