City of Paramount
Gene Daniels has been a member of the Paramount City Council since 1997, serving as Mayor for three terms (1999-2000, 2003-04, 2008-09). Previously, Daniels spent seven years on the Planning Commission.
The retired real estate appraiser was president of the Golden State Mobile Home League for nine years. He is a regional council representative for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) and the City's representative for the California Contract Cities Association and the California League of Cities. In addition, Daniels serves on the Executive Committee and the Transportation Committee of the Gateway Cities Council of Governments, an organization comprising 27 southeast Los Angeles County municipalities aimed at promoting economic growth and undertaking long-range planning in the region.
