Gene Daniels has been a member of the Paramount City Council since 1997. He has served as the City's Mayor four times.
Daniels previously spent seven years on the City's Planning Commission. The retired real estate appraiser was president of the Golden State Mobile Home League for nine years. He is a regional council representative for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). He is also the City's representative for the California Contract Cities Association, the League of California Cities, and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
In addition, Daniels serves on the Board of Directors, the Transportation Committee, the I-710 Oversight Policy Committee, the Orangeline Development Authority, and the SR-91/I-605 Corridor Needs Assessment Study of the Gateway Cities Council of Governments, an organization comprising 27 southeast Los Angeles County municipalities aimed at promoting economic growth and undertaking long-range planning in the region.
